Amazon closes kiosks but plans larger brick & mortar expansion

In a recent article by Dallas News, Amazon will be closing all of its smaller kiosks it had in retail locations, such as malls, Kohl’s and other retailers. As a result, many might think that Amazon is abandoning its mission to sell its wares offline. But that is the opposite of what it says it will be doing. Amazon shared that it will be beefing up its brick & mortar retail presence through a combination of its book stores, Amazon Go stores, and smaller format grocery stores. Some news outlets believe it will add over 3,000 new brick and mortar locations over the coming years.
